Bloom or Chick

I just bought this Black Knight echeveria and wonder if it is getting ready to bloom or if this is reproducing. If it's a bloom will it die after blooming? TIA, Nancy

Echeverias bloom from the side and thus don't die from flowering, unlike sempervivums, which bloom from the center and then die. Your echeveria is flowering and will live on. Enjoy!

Thank you xanadu. I can't wait to see what it will look like in bloom!
