 o
bulbs and the lily family in sand bed?

I am creating a dry sand bed for my rock garden. I love bulb flowers, liles, and dayliles. Does anyone think that it is a bad idea to plant them in rock garden, especially in a sand bed? I prepared the bed with organic matter and fertilizers like a regular flower bed, and then I added 5-6" sand on top of it. Are they going to have sufficient nutrients from the sand bed? Thanks

May I ask the name and author of the book you're reading?
