Here's a little beauty that grows in the mountains here. It seems to enjoy very moist conditions since I only seem to find it along watercourses. PF

Interesting! The plants one can find along streams are often very spectacular. Whether they can be grown in a backyard is another matter. I have got a dry stream bed (it holds water when the rainfall is heavy) garden in my yard. I am always on the lookout for plants that can work well there.

I don't know anything about cultivating these. The only link I've ever seen about them with cultural information is the following one where it is listed as different species. It is a beautiful plant worth growing. PF
