Starting a rock garden

My DH thinks I'm crazy, only my SIL understands....I have a rock pile started with no where to put the rocks yet...the rocks are about football size and larger. Are there any web-sites that provide pictures/ideas on making a rock garden and the plants needed? I was thinking maybe moss and other plants that require little care. Also I don't want this garden to be permanent, as we will be moving in 3 years. Any help for a newbie???
