Suggestions for dynamited limestone area

Not sure if I should post here or on Gardening With Rocks forum but here goes.

We had to have our well re-dynamited to deepen it and ended up with a 20-foot diameter area beside it of broken limestone rocks. They are too small to use for building anything.

The area gets shade in the morning and sun in the afternoon. What could we grow on this area, if anything? It would be too expensive to cover the whole thing with soil. Could we put pockets of soil in places and plant for example ivy, or would it bake on the rocks in the afternoon sun?

Thanks for any suggestions of what to grow there or what to do with that area.

A good choice for you is Baby's Breath...
it will tolerate the lime in the soil, and blooms very well in rock gardens....
many different heights and colors to choose from.
I think Armeria would work there, too.
Look in to dwarf bulbs like Crocus,Leobourdia,Rhodohypoxis, and Alliums....
