Are you growing these in the ground or in a pot? I also have some Belladonna and they are not reliable bloomers, at least not for me! Do a search of this forum and you 'll see just a few posts about this bulb. I think as long as you are getting healthy leaf growth, the bulbs are in good shape.

As I recall from seeing them growing next to to the highways, they went long stretches with no leaves, then the scapes shot up followed by blooms. Blooms were later followed by leaves. I am guessing you are experiencing these challenges....

My opinion: a. belladonna after transplantation does not bloom.
First, the roots grow, then grow leaves. And if next season will grow a lot of leaves - may bloom.

It's good to know the bulbs are healthy still. I'm just going to leave it and hopefully this coming summer it will bloom!
