Actually, yes: The "Dogs" that you can perceive every now-and-then but in the background are those without color profile (simply a pale green or yellow) and without a particular individual shape that would provide them with "personality". Unfortunately I obtained not a single green unicolor with CYBISTER shape. There is obviously a genetic association.
The green specimens are all without meaning, bcz nowadays "Evergreen" sets the Standard, with intense green color AND numerous florets per umbel.

Dear Hans-Werner,

These are beauties indeed! Your hybrids are so striking. I do hope that I have a fraction of your luck when mine bloom.

I was very excited to see my Giraffe poking up the start of a scape (very early, but she must be eager to bloom), so I'll need to acquire some pollen for her. I feel like a Yenta!!

It seems too early for the bulbs to be blooming, but we have had a very mild winter with only a couple of nights hitting freezing. Of course, the greenhouse never dips below 45 degrees F. This bulb represents a big success for me as I saved it back in 2008 when it rotted away to just the barest minimum of viable tissue. Now it's very fat and healthy and giving me a scape! YAY...so now I'll have to be on scape watch for more bulbs putting forth so early in the year. I do hope that some of my own hybrids from 2-3 years ago will reward me. The Jewel crosses look as though they may be large enough to bloom. FINGERS CROSSED!
