Looks like a Jewel to me-- mine blooms single, too... but with each bloom on the stalk it gets progressively more double. So odd.

Oh, but your single Jewel is still very beautiful...I forgot if you said whether or not is was fragrant. The flowers on my second stalk of Jewel are less double than the first ones were, but one flower is more double than the first. Guess these flowers are highly variable. I'm wondering if the singles are as fragrant as the doubles....

All mine were singles, they perfumed my whole kitchen, the smell was amazing!

OK guys! Got an ID! The name of this beauty is snow crest and not single jewel! And it is not fragrant like jewel.

I just looked up 'Snow Crest' looks like yours, but yours is prettier as yours appears to have more red in the center...what did you think you were buying...Jewel? :-)

I did buy it in a local gardenmarket.I dont buy there anymore. Nearly everything is mislabeled and on the sign whas written arctic white, but the first flower whas open and i did grab it
