For myself, I always select the biggest, plumpest seeds as that should indicate that size of the "embryo", but I have had even seeds that were small an puny germinate. Looks like you have enough to experiment a bit!!

Yes, it makes sense and it is the sensible way to do it. - I just can't help wondering if the inferior seeds would hold more of the hidden features of the parents... but probably not.

Also the shapes of the seeds vary; as we all know there are round ones and then there are others shaped like arrow heads for example, wonder if this tells something, anything about the looks of future flowers?...

Nice crop of seeds there Leena, Exotica and Jungle Star should yield some beauties! Good luck determining which you will give the chance at life and which you won't! Always a hard decision. I usually start with the plumpest and stagger the germination..ten or so at a time. Hopefully you can find someone over there to take a few of them off your hands. Over here there are usually people who will take extra seeds off your hands, always nice to find homes for them..as most of us end up with so many!

OK...I can report that my odd spear shaped seeds from Jade Serpent x Papilio sprouted. So...the odd ones do. Now, I don't think that any with the big tan marks have sprouted, and recall someone saying that the splotch is an external sign of an internal problem with the embryo.
