My Winter Blooms!
First time poster here. Relatively new to the world of Hippeastrum, yet finding myself fascinated with the size and variety of a flower that sprouts and blooms in around a month!
I was given a few bulbs last season. Had a few bloom, and allot of leaves. Re-potted in 6" pots and a leftover bag of Roots Organic, let them soak up the sun in my garden all summer, brought them in around early October and here is the result!
The person that gave the other bulbs to me had a left over 8 pack of assorted Van Engelen Royal Dutch Singles.
I have ID'd the Rosalie, Floris Hecker, and Faro so far.
Still have a Picotee, Hercules, Christmas Gift, and Apple Blossom yet to bloom, but all have large, healthy scapes!
I also purchased three Cybister "La Paz" and one bulb has formed THREE 20"+ scapes!!!!!
