Pollinating the flowers should not affect leaf production. The leaves will come. Leaves may be produced before, during or after flowering. Whether they are produced before or after flowering depends on the variety and the conditions and duration of storage.

I had 4 leafs emerge while the flower stalk/scape was growing. There is another leaf that started to grow, but when the scape was forming it stopped. It got about an inch out if the bulb and just stopped. Now that the flowers are going to seed that leaf has started to grow a little more.
