Hi gyozu, I tried to do the same thing with my Red Lions this year and left them out in a protected area with mulch. Too soon to tell if I will be successful - though I did pick the coldest winter to try! Frank (also in Raleigh) said that the arboretum successfully overwinters their hippis outside, so I thought I'd give it a try with all those Red Lions and their bulblets. Nothing much lost if I lose them.

I'll post here if they make it. What do your coral/ white ones look like? If they're an uncommon heirloom type folks would be willing to trade.
