More blooms on a freezing day...

Hi Everyone, I have a few things blooming, I figure if I keep adding to my other post, nobody will bother to look.

My Party Pooper that I bought from Ebay last year, (before the order) had bloomed, and it is just lovely.. a bit larger than the one from the order.. the bloom on this one is 5 3/4 " I really really love this Party series.And my Limona is blooming with 2 stalks with 8 flowers total all coming out about the same time..not as large or as pretty,or as yellow as last year, but I'll take it..and just one more picture of Exotic Star. I don't know if you remember my gorgeous Emerald from last year, well this year it is so scrawny and colorless I haven't even bothered to take it's picture.. I wonder what happened? Oh well..I didn't notice that there was anything wrong with the bulb when I re-potted it, I may have missed something.

Love that Party Pooper - got to put that on my wish list. My Exotic Star was, naturally, mislabeled and turned out to be a double red. (Sigh) Your photo of Limona really captured the irredescence. Thanks for sharing the lovely color on this cold grey day.

Those are beautiful, Donna, and beautifully photographed. I didn't realize Party Pooper has such frilled edges - really lovely. Do you think you'll cross it with Limona?

Exotic Star is one of my favorites! Mine is just poking up a bud now.

The photos really do help with this weather.

Hi..

I have pollenated 3 of the Limona flowers with Shirley May, a lovely multihued pink and I do think I'll try some Party Pooper on Limona as well. I did have another PP that bloomed several months ago when we first received our Maguires order and I tried selfing it and also put it on Julia which was a large cream and a few others I can't remember now..and nothing took, didn't even attempt to take so I'm not to optimistic.. but will certainly try again. This particular Party Pooper is well rooted since I've had it almost a year and I can't decide what to put on IT! I might try to put h. papilio on one and maybe Exotic Star on the other, or maybe I'll try Shirley May... decisions, decisions.. gives me something to think about in this frigid weather..it was ZERO this morning, we don't see that all to often..on the South Coast.

Those are really stunning! I love Exotic Star.

I'm expecting some blooms from my Exotic Star seedling that Maria kindly shared more than two years ago. I'll be exceedingly happy when it blooms :-)

My "Party Pooper's" blooms last year were pretty stressed so it is lovely to see what a beauty this one is! Can't wait until mine blooms again, being well settled in its pot!

Oh Donna, your Party Pooper looks great! Do you think that's the difference a well-rooted bulb will make? Or maybe it's just bigger this year after having a good summer? Regardless, very nice.
