Have patience. These blooms are not to be rushed! It may take a week or more to see blooms from this point!

Ok, It is very close. There appears to be 4 flower buds and 2 are bigger that the others. They will open soon. The 2 big buds were tilting away from each other when i left work this morning but they were closer together last night.
They might be open when i get home or at the latest this weekend.

Do you know if i can use the pollen from the flowers to pollinate the stamen of my amaryllis or can they only be pollinated by another amaryllis?

I want then to turn into seed pods so that i can try to grow my own from seed.

They are sooo much fun!

You can self pollinate the the stigma with the pollen sac. If they were still closed tight, you have at least another day to wait.
