"I can't detect any scent yet,"
Because it's not Blossom Peacok. May be it's Double Record,
    or Aphrodite.

Beautiful pictures Lena, but Oleg is right, that is not Blossom Peacock. It might be Double Record but my guess would be Aphrodite or Rainbow which for me was identical to Aphrodite. Lovely whatever it is!

Charisma and Sumatra are lovely also and both of mine are just now sending up scapes.

Oleg and Donna thanks so much!! I didn't have a clue! I'll google the varieties you mentioned.

Sumatra is beautiful! I love her spidery look and great colors. Crosses will be made, hopefully successful...

Rene hi and Thank You!!!! :D

Oleg thank you for your kind words.

"BP" is on our dining room table under fluorescent light.
In this particular photo it got the rays of the afternoon sun also, shining in through living room windows; they were the very first rays of sunlight to reach the dining table this year. Spring is on it's way, hooray!!

I can't be sure of the id of my so called "Blossom Peacock". I can't distinguish the differences between Aphrodite and Double Record. Oh well, it's a lovely plant anyway, And the singular flower is big and it isn't droopy at all, a feature I like very much.

    Lena,
Most likely right Donna. Apparently this is Aphrodite.
Look - she in the middle petals has a darker colored line. Double Record has no such.

    Leena,

Are the pedicels extremely long; about 3 inches? Aphrodite (mine at least) always had very long pedicels. If they are shorter then this may be Double Record. I don't have and have never grown a Double Record so I'm not familiar with the length of it's pedicels though.

Not bad for the 3.00 clearance bin at target.

    Jessiann thank you so much!

Willow that is a fantastic sight!

Oleg and Donna thank you, again. Given clues led me to the true identity and Aphrodite it is. There is definitely a red "ring" at the base of the flower and the pedicels are indeed long.

I found little pollen and dapped Sumatra with it. Don't expect success but it's always worth trying...

lenanen, IMO you have Double Record
    {{gwi:382267}}
In Aphrodita the red color is used more delicately
    {{gwi:382268}}
Definitely it is not Blossom Peacock

Neptune thank you so much for your input.
Yes, I can see the difference between DR and Aphrodite in your photos and yes, my flower looks more like your Double Record.

I found a third flowerscape emerging so I can take better pictures in a few weeks.

What is your opinion of Double Record, is it a good variety or does it have some weaknesses?

    Hello Lena,

Your photos are always a visual delight!
Here is a photo of my 'Rainbow' for comparison.

    Best,

    Blanca

Blanca thank you so much, warms the heart!
Oh your Rainbow is lovely! I don't know Rainbow, have to check it immediately...

So happy the third scape is there and growing well, I'll get more photos of the flowers and maybe with truer colors and shape.

So far this variety has been a great performer. I hope it would do well in the future too.

lenanen, DR is one of my favorites. Beautiful, regular bloomer (2010, 11,12,13).
It has one scape now. In 2 weeks I'll show new photoes
