Huh... I never knew amaryllis were put in flower bouquets. I've never seen any myself but then again I never looked twice at them. It's usually roses, mums, lilies, etc.

That IS an interesting experiment to try though, to see if you can get some seeds off cut flowers. Thanks for sharing that. :)

One cultivar that is in use as a cut flower, and has generally mighty stems like broomstiXX, is "SHOWMASTER". You are almost condemned to be successful if you pollinate and if you will cut the stem some centimeters every couple days and put it back in fresh lukewarm water. Although the two younger flowers of a 4-umbel will most likely abort, the other two will produce seeds in ABUNDANCE. Which I experienced with two umbels that I pollinated with "Charisma". No, I did not use this opportunity to sow these. Now I regret it to a certain degree...
