Found a Amaryllis growing in the ground

I moved to NC in summer 2010 and I notice a Amaryllis growing in the ground. I didn't do anything because I though that is was going to flowering at some point but nothing happen. What I have to do? It's big, probably several bulbs. Do I have to move it to pots?

Send a photo so we can be sure it's a Hippi!! Could be a family member.

In some areas, amaryllis are perfectly happy growing in the ground. My mother has several different amaryllis growing in her yard and they do beautifully in the ground- they bloom at least twice a year.
