Hi...and welcome! There is an FAQ sheet that will help you tremendously, but here's the simple truth...
1) bulbs bought from the store aren't always "primed" and ready to bloom. The ones bought from a big name distributor (at a much higher price - typically $10+/bulb) usually have been grown and harvested with optimal care, then stored so that when they are planted they will bloom in 4-8 weeks. You can't say that for bulbs bought at the store.

2) as you found, bulbs have their own blooming cycle. For me (I live in "the south" in Spring, TX) they start blooming in March and go until June. It looks like your bulbs will start blooming naturally in June.

So...just bring them in before a freeze, and replant them when it's safe. Water them with half strength Miracle Gro (or similar) fertilizer and pamper them during the growing season. Then, the next year they should reward you with the best blooms they can produce!
