simple(i hope) red blotch question.

I have searched this forum and did find a similar question once, but no answer posted... So, can Red Blotch spread to common tropical houseplants or herbs, etc?

For example, if a plant(not a fellow bulb) were kept in close proximity to an infected hippeastrum. This may be a silly question to some, but i do not know, therefore, i must ask.

I think that red blotch is a Hippeastrum disease and is not likely to infect other non related species. That being said,the reason that the "bird"flu and The "swine"flu are named their names is because they can be spread to humans from those species. The same is probably true of some plant diseases.So the word is;take care to prevent such an occurance if possible.
