Actually it's a bit disappointing, almost identical with the mother. To stay with the proud parent analogy, it's like the 8-yr old has crossed the line first, then failed the drugs test.

Still, it's bright and cheerful, and huge, a full 7 inches in diameter.

Don't be too disappointed, sometimes the second year flowers on a larger and stronger bulb will yield prettier flowers !! (??)
