I am inclined to assume, the short scapes as performed there have nothing to do with heritage, they are rather due to the conditions during forcing.

Do you suppose they apply some specific treatment with the intent of producing short scapes, or is this the consequence of the abuse they suffer by the time they finally get planted? This is the first year for my Hadeco bulbs, so I have not had the opportunity to observe them under better conditions.
