Love the deep red, its beautiful

And here they are - no fewer than 3 scapes. One of the healthiest looking individuals I've seen. Entirely predictable, but nice nonetheless.

How you manage to get 3 scapes on a seedling blooming for the first time is beyond me!! I struggle to get one scape, some with 2 and some with 4 flowers but never more than one scape. Nice Job and lovely red flower!!

More individuals planted out in the community garden all show this delicious dark velvety red. I have about 20 in all, or should I say had. Most have been gratefully received by friends who are just as impressed with it as I am. This looks like a cross worth trying if you have these two varieties.

This cross is highly recommended - I have had a couple of dozen very nice plants and there are still some coming into bloom. The flowers consistently show a fine shape and the deepest red colour, and some are sending up multiple scapes with fine heads of flowers. Here are some of a line planted in the community garden, consisting of those I rescued from friends eager to have a specimen.
