It depends on how pale you're referring to.If they are white, or nearly so,they will almost certainly die.If they are only a lighter green than you are used to seeing,they might not grow as strongly as other greener plants,but sometimes will be quite vigorous.Picotee is a variety which is lighter in color than many others,but is a very strong grower.There are others.Most white seedlings have a chromosomal defect and will die within days of sprouting.

Definitely paler green, not white, and have been growing at about the same rate as the normal greens.
