Lemon lime isn't as green as evergreen. It has a veil of a peach color over it-- not as strong as exotica, though. It also has much broader petals and sepals. I have my lemon lime blooming right now and I can tell you it isn't that big of a bloom, either, but it is gorgeous. Lemon lime is a good dame for it-- if you've ever squeezed your own lemonade or limeade, this is pretty much the colors it would have!

Carol Evergreen is a real Cybister Hybride, and Lemon lime more a trumpet. Yours looks a bit like a cross of them!

I have both evergreen and lemon-lime blooming now on my rooftop in Hong Kong. The evergreen has no fewer than 8 flowers per scape (2 scapes on the bulb) and they are quite small. The lemon lime is bigger, and starts off a beautiful clear yellow-green colour, but over the next few days becomes suffused with an orange blush - very nice

Haxuan, your amaryllis is the most beautiful I ever seen.

Everytime I've tried to buy 'Lemon Lime' this season I get something different :( So far I've got 'Moonlight', 'Lemon Star' and 'Limona', all beautiful but by no means are they 'Lemon Lime'!!!!!

Beautiful pictures. Has any of you successfully crossed with Evergreen? I've got a lot of Evergreenpollen here that I already put on Sydney and Amputo. On Evergreen the pods withered. Hope something viable comes out of this experiment. I'm using the Evergreen pollen on each of my bulbs because I heard that it's known to be sterile. Let's see, the idea behind this is to introduce the incredible amount of blooms per stake in my crosses.

I had very much luck with my 'Evergreen'. I produced 9-10 pods this year on my 'Evergreen' with 'Misty', 'Exotic Star', H. cybister and possibly a few selfed! I think it's a wonderful seed parent!

I also got seed on my H. cybister as the seed parent with 'Evergreen' as the pollen.

I think 'Amputo' and 'Sydney' are both the wrong ploidy for 'Evergreen'.

I meant Supreme Garden, not Amputo. But nevertheless, I know of the wrong ploidy. But I only have one other dip in my collection, Emerald, and I don't think that it's about to flower soon.

Good to hear that Evergreen is far from steril - at least yours! Mine (or my flatmate's) is from Royal Colours.
