This red-white variety, with multiple variations and permutations, is the common Hippeastrum around here.

It is very hardy and produces lots of offshoots, and it is tempting to use it for crosses because of this. Here it has been pollinated by Bogota, one of my favourites. I have seen a number of these crosses, and this is one of the best, tall and large, with a clear solid colour and those unmistakeable Bogota features.
