What is your Pollination Tool - Watercolor Paint Brush?

Even though I've been doing it for years, it just occurred to me to ask you smart folks what you use for a pollination tool. I've been using a small watercolor paint brush. I am just getting ready to start this year's pollination as my bulbs are just opening. (They are all planted outside in the ground - so far behind many of your potted ones.) It got me thinking about how you "sterilize" the brush between pollinations. I'm sure you guys have thought this all through, as your crosses are much more scientific than mine. My only criteria is "all pinks" - nothing more. But I would like to know if I need to buy more paint brushes or if there is an easy way to "sterilize" the brush between pollinations so I am making the cross that I think I am making! LOL!

Thanks so much for your help and advice!

By the way, Kristi, I do remember seeing your drinking straw protection for the stigma a few weeks ago. Too cute and ingenious!

Carol
