Since you have a bed of amaryllis that happy, just move out that other tray or two of seedlings (or three, however many) from the greenhouse and put them on the ground behind the wire fencing! You have a much better place for them than the greenhouse. You will see them take off!

They are just a wonderful plant. Carefree and so florific with 2-3 scapes per bulb. I am going to take as many as I can with me to the new house. Carol I'll pull the seedlings out and try them in the same spot as these. The temps at night are in the 50s so they should be good. I'll post more pictures as the other noids I have planted all over the place start blooming. I'm going to miss this yard, oh well I guess it's just another excuse to buy more plants!

A friend gave me some of these bulbs when she moved last fall. I didn't have anywhere in the ground to put them at the time so I gave each huge bulb their own 6" pot and they all bloomed beautifully. Actually some are still putting out buds and flowering.

I assume that "x Johnsonii" is the most known and most famous "heirloom" hybrid. Regrettably, it is not - at least not easily - available in Germany.

Considering the tons of seeds that I will obtain during the next weeks... I tell you, do NOT plzzz *sigh*
4 seed pods on "Reggae" after pollination with "Striped Panther" it defies my imagination how the flowers of THESE seedlings might look, and I shall HAVE TO sow them ALL.
And IF I am as "unfortunate" as that "Ambiance" actually TOOK after poollination with "UnderTheLadder" (12 florets were pollinated LOL) then the situation will become "serious" even...

I would like to have it in my collection.
