Desire?

Is this Desire? or maybe Red Lion? It was purchased as desire. It has thick petals that feel textured, it's kinda crinkly. It's not at all smooth like most of mine are. The first 2 photos are from outside in bright light. The third photo is inside. It looks more dark orange to me then red.

I'm not so sure that you have Desire but I wouldn't dare to guess what it is.

Mine is a lighter orange, quite a large flower with definite pink coloration to the midribs and the heart. I got mine as a mislabel so I can't be 100% sure that mine is actually Desire but I don't know what else it could be. I think I got my ID from the forum.

Unfortunately the mother bulb was devoured by the narcissus bulb fly this past year and I have only one offset growing on. I haven't pulled it out of the pot yet but I think the maggot did a real job on this one but I'm thankful that I at least have the one small bulb because when this did bloom it was spectacular and I'm sure if I tried to buy another one it wouldn't have the pink midribs like mine does.

Here is a shot of mine but I don't think it resembles yours but as I say it was a mislabel so who really knows.

Yours is beautiful. I wish mine had the pink in it. It is a nice orange though and it is a huge flower. So whatever it is I guess I'm ok with it. I had a battle with NBF two years ago and lost a lot of bulbs because I didn't catch it in time. I'm glad you at least saved a small one.

Your unknown bloom has the same white picotee edging as my unknown bloom. Hope we can figure out what they are!

I been looking at photos so much I'm going blind lol. If I find something that looks like it I'll let you know. If you find it first please let me know.
