Hi All friends.
I want you to share my joy. I have been rewarded with a WINNER. It is the last bloom of the season. It is strong enough to survive the sudden hot spell. While other buds are just drying up this one has bloomed. It has two long scapes, each flower has a long stalk and is facing upward. The flower is huge 20CM perfect in shape having 13 properly formed petals. Last evening while it was opening it looked like a double of APPLE BLOSSOM The plant

| You do,indeed have a winner. It is very pretty.If it can stand the heat and low humidity,then you truly have a winner. I have a few which stand the heat better. I have one which seems to like the heat.It is a self seedling of Pasadena. My conditions are similar to the conditions where many of the Hippeastrum species originated,High humidity and temperature.
