Enjoy your Neon, mine didn't do too well this season, just one stalk with 4 flowers..certainly not what they are capable of. I have a Bogota that is blooming for me now, I really am in love with cybisters this year...do you have any?
My Evergreen and Chico aren't doing too well, if they don't make it I will most definitly replace those..I loved them both!

Oh, I'm so sorry about your Neon. Maybe it was taking a year off and will do better for you next year. My orange trees do that - have a heavy load of fruit every other year. I do hope it will perform better for you because it is one of the cooler flowers I have seen.

My Neon's scape is still coming up so I have yet to see what kind of bloom one gets in the heat of June. It may look like a pink wilted lettuce salad.

I have never purchased any Cybisters. I think they are gorgeous - I just don't have any. One of the Ace Hardware stores here in Jax puts in a pretty classy order for bulbs every year - and so they carry a huge variety of choices. I was in there, after-season, and they had an incredible sale going on. I think bulbs were 75% off. (They had already bloomed in the crates, of course.) I had a shot at cybisters but spent my money on some pink bling that had long been on my Want list. Next year may be the year for cybisters. I know they turn heads. Would be cool to have them in the yard.

Have you moved your Evergreen and Chico into full sun? Down here in Florida, I do not believe in full sun once June rolls around. It is far too much heat and stress. But I do keep my potted ones in full sun from October through mid-May. I find that they do much better. And any that are having problems usually improve quite quickly. I had a bulb that I had purchased in December that was rotting, rotting, rotting. It shocked me, because rot is something I never see. It happens in cool, damp climates and that is not Florida. I had never had rot on a bulb here. After cleaning it up, I moved it to full sun and bam, that rot was gone and new growth starting appearing. It was not an instant cure, but a matter of only 1-2 weeks.

Since you are so much farther north, I wonder if that would help?
