Seeds slow to sprout...

I have had my Kogane no Sato x H. Papilio seeds floating for a couple of weeks. I also planted 16 seeds in a great seedling mix. While many of the floated seeds have rooted, they aren't sprouting in the water; the roots are very healthy, large and green. At least one in the soil has sprouted.

Am guessing I just need to be more patient, but typically the ones in water are far ahead of the ones in soil. Any thoughts?

I've noticed that seeds sprout better/faster earlier in the spring before it gets warm.

Hi Mike...

These are in the house under a special light set up (not my "cheap" set up of warm and cool fluorescent bulbs). Temp is a constant 80. Just seems odd that there are roots but no leaves in water and soil sewn seeds won the sprouting race!

The Black Pearl x Pap seedlings you sent are thriving! Hope yours are too!
