| Hi All,
I am newbie both to this forum and also when it comes to growing amaryllis. I am from Bangalore India and happened to come across this gorgeous plant. Would love to know more about them and the name of the bulbs that I have. Also if anyone knows about a place where I can buy some bulbs in India to add to my collection. Thank you.

| The red specimen shouild be a species Hippeastrum of the kind H.equestre/puniceum or H.rutilum. Cannot specify more concisely instantly but, interestingly, these are in their majority TETraploid and they should produce seeds after SELF-pollination. The white, tubular one looks like a rather original (heirloom) hybrid, out of the real H.vittatum. |

| Thank your for the response. I really like the white one the best. Would also appreciate if anyone would know a place where I can buy Amaryllis in India. I would surely love to add some more to my collection. |
