 o
Amaryllis that never produced a flower stem, just leaves

I have planted an Amaryllis bulb that I bought from a kit at the supermarket in April. It grew beautiful leaves that are still here right now with plenty of sunlight It never grew a flower stem. What should I be doing with it now in order for it to grow a flower stem?

Since you bought it late in the season, it may have already bloomed in the box, or never bloomed. If you took great care of it this summer and it has grown several sets of leaves...it may bloom for you next spring. If it's plumped up and grown noticably...look in the FAQ at the top of the posts (DO NOT REPLY TO THAT FAQ MESSAGE!!)...and look for the topic of forcing bulbs to bloom. That should tell you what you need to know!
