That is very beautiful! How many flowers on that one?
I have an aulicum from Komoriya that will be blooming in a week or two and although I don't have any papilio pollen, I do have some fresh pollen from my papilio hybrid that looks very much like papilio. I think I might also try Exotic Star.. If I get 4 flowers I may try 2 of the papilio hybrid and one Exotic Star (older pollen) and I haven't deceided what else!
Here is a picture of my papilio hybrid from Maria..on which I got a seedpod x Exotic Star and they have germinated very well...I only had 2 of the usual 4 flowers and the other I selfed but it didn't take which did surprise me where this is a hybrid and not the species...
Did you bloom any others from this cross? I will be very pleased if in 3 years I get some flowers that look like yours!!

Here is my papilio hybrid you can see it's somewhat similar it it to papilio but is much more to the red side.
The aulicum seed was a gift from Alison in NSW Aus. The hybrid typically produces 2 blooms per scape. I prefer the blooms in the spring which have slightly wider petals.
