I can say that wholesale prices are the same as 2013.

I don't have hard data to support my statement. It just seems like a couple of years ago I was buying fancy hybrids for $12 or under and now I'm seeing them in catalogs for closer to $20. Would not pay more than $6 for a Red Lion yet I'm seeing them in catalogs for twice as much.

I guess it depends where you are looking! I just had a pop-up ad from Brecks. They are selling Red Lions for $19.99 and the "regular" price for a Papilio is $43! CRAZY!!

I've noticed the same thing. Are you shopping earlier or later then usual? The question is not just *WHERE* you are buying them but *WHEN*. I find if you buy them early online the prices are higher...then many places have sales and the prices go down.

Perhaps it is due to shipping prices (from holland to the US) as those are always going up or locals taxes?

I actually saw prices for some of the common ones decrease in supermarkets here. Fancier ones were more expensive though.
