Lycoris radiata (spider lily) help please.

Hello, I am in need of help. I was given some L.radiata (red spider lily) bulbs. Potted them up in spring and they put out leaves and then the leaves died back mid summer. I thought they were dead and just left them in the pots and ignored them. Was going to dump them and I see new leaves. Now what do I do? It is getting cold here and the nights are getting below freezing. I had put the pots in the garage so the bulbs did not get frozen. Do I overwinter them as houseplants? Let the leaves die back again and store the bulbs inside? Oh, and how big do the bulbs have to get to be flowering size? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks so much.

Blessings,

Gramadea
