what to do with amaryllis bulb

I bought my first amartyllis bulb at wal mart last year and planted it in a pot and it bloomed so pretty with huge blooms. I left it in the pot all saummer and just set it on my front porch, where it is still sitting,its got some pretty green leaves on it, now I dont know what to do with it to get a nother bloom for thanksgiving or christmas or if it will evern bloom again in this pot, after leaving it out on the porch all summer. Any suggestion's of what to do with it?

The FAQ message can help you with your question about caring for your bulb. Also there is s current message about how to get blooms for Thanksgiving or Christmas currently in the top few messages.
