You just get something black to put behind the flowers, I took a big piece of plywood and painted it a black.

The way easier way is to make a picture at nighttime with flash into a direction where there's no lights. I think that's what they did in this video, and with my cheap camera I recieved good quality this way too:

I just stored pollen in a not-air-tight container on a shelf, but not for very long. But I read that people used pollen stored like this for several months, if I remember correctly it was half a year.

If pollen is stored correctly you can keep it in the freezer a year or more, I've heard stories of using pollen that was much older and it was viable!
