Hallo

Does some one knows when Hippeastrum seeds in Sao Paulo are ripe? In which month ?
I am writing all information about Hippeastrum species, native in different area's in a book, so I have all information together.
I hope I can get some information.
Thank you very much

RE: riping seeds

Wouldn't they ripen a couple of months after they bloom? If you know when they bloom, timing of seeds should logically follow.

Thank you, yes I know, but in which part of the year are they blooming than?
I thought oktober/november. In that part of Brazil is it now summer, or am I wrong?

Seems like this basic information on blooming time should be readily available on the internet. Yes...in Oct/Nov it is their spring/summer.

Jim's Garden Blog says they bloom in Sept/Oct.
