Yes, by all means it's time to water it and give it some sun! With 12 leaves you should be looking forward to some flowers!! I would just clean any of the dried outer scales off first. Good Luck....Donna

Thanks! Also I heard they don't like to be repotted until they're so root bound that the pot breaks. Does anyone know if that is true?

I've never heard of them being so root bound that the pot breaks! I repot mine every 2-3 years....it rejuvinates them.

Yes, you can repot in a larger pot if you wish, just lift the whole rootball out without disturbing the roots if possible and place it in a slightly larger pot. (with drainage holes of course). Let us know how you make out and when it sends up it's first scape!
