Ideal storage for pollen is 50 degrees at 50% humidity. The butter keeper of my fridge works quite well. Just remove opened anthers with clean tweezers & put in a labeled coin envelope. The pollen should be viable up to 5 months. Lora

weather or not the progeny looks alike is dependant on what traits you cross, some traits will cary over evenly and some wont.

I lost my pollen bag. Nobody has any idea where it disappeared during the move... But it is okay. I will start collecting pollen again now that I start to pack out... If there is no open flower at the moment I am ready to pollinate some stamens, I just use my stored pollens. I make sure to mix it up completely, so the pollination would similarly random as if I had the flowers outside and bees would have done the pollination. (I know, some hybridizers are terrified now. :o) )
