Newbie Q about time-to-sprout

Hi, I have several Amaryllis from big box stores that were sprouting when I got them. They're doing great.

Then I went to a garden shop and bought a Ferrari and a Best Seller. I have had them in pots for 11 days now, in organic potting mix. The Ferrari is finally just starting to sprout. But the Best Seller isn't doing much of anything. The biggest change is seeing green on the bulbs (vs the brown when I got them).

They were in about 69 degree conditions until I moved them into the warmest room in the house yesterday, which is about 71, warm, but no light.

The bulbs were firm when I got them, and still seem to be. But the other ones zoomed up so fast, and these seem to be laggards.

Is Best Seller a slow-sprouter? Does it look ok to you all? It's the one on the left. I'm just not sure what's normal and if I'm "doing it right." ;). And they're not soaking wet; they had one good watering when planted and are moist but not wet.

They look good. Many of the big box stores sell bulbs grown in Brazil. Since their seasons are opposite ours, they have been dormant for many months, and are eager to wake up. These two bulbs were probably from the Netherlands, and will have been dormant for much less time, so they are still a little sleepy. This is normal. But be careful not to water too often, particularly in an organic mix like that. Let the soil dry quite a but between waterings to avoid bulb rot.

you can also try warm water that may help to simulate the bulb

They look fine! I'd cut the elastic off the one on the right and stick a tag in the pot. Those pots look pretty small. Best bet is about one inch between the pot and the bulb. Keep us posted on progress.

They look fine to me too but I might do as suggested above and if possible put them in a larger pot planted a little higher so they won't rot which can be a problem for a new bulb with no roots in plastic pots rather than terra cotta.
