Hi Kay, I think that's pretty typical depending on bulb size, for Neon. Both of mine are in bloom and have another scape coming up. It's a great flower, isn't it?

Two is considered normal from the nicer bulbs purchased through reputable companies... some even give three scapes of flowers. They've been primed by the growers, and are ready for us to enjoy!

The number of bloom stems depends on the size of the bulb as well as its breeding. Even small bulbs, as with 'Little Star' who has given me 2 stems now and with a total of 11 blooms, yet 'Exotic Star' has given me 4 stems, but only a total of 8 blooms - 2 per stem and this is a hefty bulb! Yet another, 'Fairy Tale' has so far bloomed out two of 4 stems and each has has 4 buds each. 'Rilona' has 6 blooms on it's first bloom stem and a second one about ready.

Enjoy the show 'Neon' is giving and take good care of it during the growing season and it will do it again next winter!

I have a 'Fairy Tale' bulb, new this year, with four flower stems. The two currently flowering stems have 6 blooms each. I am *very* impressed. I'm also impressed with 'Temptation' - it's gorgeous.

I agree, Fairy Tale and Temptation are two of my favorites. Do you have any pictures as we'd love to see them.
