She must have got some very healthy bulbs !! IME getting them to grow was easy.Getting them to grow for two years almost impossible . I feel certain that they need a cool rest period but can't figure how low or for what duration.

She truned off the heater to the tank and it is at room temp. The big test is going to be in the summer when the temps will raise up to the 80s in tank. Will the plant like it?

this plan in particular like warm temps of 60-68f with extrems of 57-76f. this plant does also have a winter dormancy period of 2.5-3 months in which the prefered temp should be around 55f. the light sounds about right at 1.2 watts per gallon.the plant will grow and multiply fairly quickly if you feed it one stick of food about once weekly. my complimens on your sisters beautifull plant!!!

thanks for the info bkerns, when the plant has its winter dormancy period the temp of the water should be 55f what about lighting? If all the leaves die of I think a 10 gal tank in the celler with no light would be ok, right? It has been flowering and getting seed pod I'm going to trying to get some from her.
