cichlids mating

| a week ago two of my cichlids were mating and i saw the female take the eggs into her mouth. i divided the tank and kept the female and male together. i notice sometimes the males bothers and chases the female. should i separate them? |

| the male is a lemon jake...the female is very similar but another color....thank you for your response! |

| You can take the male away from the female this will be less stress on her. The eggs will hatch in 10-14 days. |

| its been 17 days and she hasnt let her babie outside her mouth...is something wrong? |

| She will let the fry out when she feels it is safe. |

| ok...now that the fry are out....i havent been able to see them. my tank has big river rocks and it seems they have been hiding in them. Should I take the mother out or leave her there...she seems in very good shape and is eating like crazy..im afaid thou that she'll eat th fry...reccommendations?? |
