Eclipse is made by Marineland Aquariums. Try doing a google search and contact their support. Maybe it's just a matter of replacing the impeller?

I remember seeing this (link below) when looking for Bio-wheels for a DIY project. There may be a cheaper site but this is the only one I had saved for parts for something else. I don't own an eclipse and never took one apart. On my pumps and filters I try to take them apart monthly and use a brush to remove crud build up on the impeller and housing as well as the intake tubes. I like those long flexible "bottle brushes" for the purpose. And a nail brush for the impeller fins. If you never did this before, it may be just a matter of crud buildup, if your lucky.

I had an eclipse hood go south on me in less than a year. contacted Marineland and a very nice rep called me back. Once he understood that I wasn't a newbie running it dry or anything he allowed that the original design had been modified and sent me a new impeller assembly free of charge, and that one's been going for four or five years. But that was a while ago. I still don't think that the hood with the integrated filter is the best design in the world, but the people at Marineland, in my opinion, are good about being willing to work with customers to get to the bottom of their complaints. Then the ballast on one of the integrated lights went bad, and that REALLY made me annoyed. The twin tubes were the main reason I got that hood to begin with. But I didn't call Marineland on that one.
