Motion in Bio Cube VERY fast

I just set up a 14 gallon Bio Cube, and the amount of movement generated in the water from the filtering system is incredibly fast. Not only are the plants swaying like crazy, but the few little tiger barbs which I just introduced seem to be fighting to swim against the current. Is this normal, or is this a problem? I also have read that all plantings for barbs should be toward the back of the tank, to leave them swimming room. Right now, the plants are pretty much evenly dispersed on the bottom. Should I move them? Thanks!

Is it possible to set your filter at a lower setting? if so, try that. That's what happened to my filter. Check the instructions. And I think you're supposed to start bulbs in a cup or something by themself, they sprout faster.

You might want to put a tall piece of driftwood near the outlet to divert the water flow.

There is no setting for the filter, and the outlet is almost at the top of the tank, preventing anything from being placed in front of it.
