anubia flowers and amazon swords.... those are the only plants I've grown to flower underwater.

They bloom underwater... the amazon will grow out of water if your tank is really shallow. I usually bend over the flower stalks to keep them in water... and from the flowers you may see small plants growing (another way to propogate these plants!)

That sounds like what I am looking for....I have a 29 Gal Paludarium. I have roughly 9.5 gallons of water in it, and it is about 7-8 inches high. I would like some more aquatic plants to fill up the water area, and I would like some that flower, and what you described sounds great...once again thank you

Just so you know, your mondo grass is not a true aquatic and shouldn't be submerged, it will hang on awhile but will eventually rot.

My Mondo grass is not completely submerged, it is about 6 inched above the waters surface, is it not an aquatic at all, or is it a marginal plant, if having the roots submerged will kill this plant please let me know.

It is marginal and should be fine in that spot as long as the leaves are above water.
