Placement of UV Sterilizer

Hello, I have a 30 gallon freshwater aquarium and have just purchased a UV sterilizer for it, and I am wondering where the most effective placement for it is. On the back wall of my aquarium I have two regular filters. Right now I have it between them, but don't know if that is the best spot for it. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Does the UV sterilizer has a pump? I would place it at a corner of the tank, the pump on the UV fertilizer will help to circulate the water to prevent dead spot.
