mouthbrooders

Many years ago, I bought a pair of fish simply called Egyptian Mouthbreeders. They were about 2" or 3" long and were a blue-green. Does anyone have any idea what they might have been or where I might get some?

Hi

I'd bet you're referring to presudocrenilabus multicolor. But there are a whole bunch of the rift lake cichlids that are mouthbrooders and the names have become VERY complicated especially common names.
You can google that name for more info or Haplochromis burtoni is another that goes by that name.
Shouldn't be too hard to find as they have been in the hobby for many years and VERY easy to breed!! gary

I think you might be refering to the fish called Haplochromis multicolor from years back.Rarely ever seen nowadays since the African Cichlids became popular.
